Now that was unexpected…
I didn’t expect to see a Board transform in front of my eyes…
Recently, I sat with a Board as they completed a GovernApp assessment.
At first, there was laughter, banter, and maybe a little nervousness about what might be revealed.
But as the minutes passed, the room grew quieter. Faces showed dawning realisations. Some strengths were confirmed. Some gaps emerged — a few expected, others surprising.
And when it was done, something shifted.
This wasn’t a Board in panic. It was a Board empowered. They had clarity, a practical action plan, and a shared determination: “We can do this, and we must.” The Chair even committed to reviewing their GovernApp plan at every monthly meeting.
For me, it was joyous to witness. This is why we built GovernApp:
